The Karma of Suicide

At some point, we are all impacted by the death of a suicide. This form of death is especially painful for the survivors. We begin to question the ‘would haves, could haves, and should haves’ that might have prevented this death. Then the universal emotion of guilt seeps in and it becomes a constant shadow, a chilling enemy for the living.

However, a common theme of what we have learned from talking to many dead who committed suicide over the years is, they felt there was no way out and they did not want to share their pain with others. The questions that beg to be asked are: What can we do with this knowledge? How can we use it to help others? What is the karma of all of this? Does this karma have to be negative or are there positive karmic elements?

In this podcast, we go over comments and questions that our listeners (sometimes they are not kind thoughts!) have had on this subject over the years.

These are a few of the questions and comments we address:

  • God gave us this body. When you kill yourself, do you go to hell because you destroyed what God gave you?
  • Someone committed suicide and that person is still with me. How can that be?
  • My abuser committed suicide and I do not want to have him crossed over. He does not deserve to go to Heaven.
  • Can suicide be contagious? I have 3 members in my family who committed suicide.

When someone commits suicide, we can still help them by offering the healing and compassion they could not feel in their mortal life. We do this by assisting them in death. To learn how to help the dead, please visit http:

  1. What is your karma if you kill yourself when you literally cant feel your feelings?- someone is doing a new form of ‘healing’ on me which is being used the wrong way? what if the stress is so much you cant focus anymore?

    1. Hi Victoria,
Thank you for writing in. First, we need to tell you that if you are feeling suicidal, you need to seek professional help in your area. There is karma in all that we do, including that nefarious ‘healer’. From a spiritual point of view, it’s possible to learn to disconnect from this person and take your power back. I am enclosing a couple of links on some online courses (one is free) and am giving you a coupon code that you can use for one or both. The coupon code, Karma1, will make This course free: Slaying the Energy Vampire. It provides a substantial discount for this 5 week online course: Psychic Self-Defense. Here is the link: We hope this is helpful to you and we wish you the best and may your presence be graced with many angels. You can also email us at: for a more private setting.

  2. I just want to acknowledge you, Victoria, for sharing your question, because there are a lot of people who are thinking and feeling the same things you are and it might help them. There were times when the stress of events seemed just too much to bare. I agree with Laura’s advice about seeking a professional and I did when I was in that loop.

Not as a substitution for that professional help, I have also found a lot of value and help in Tina’s and Laura’s podcasts, books and online learning. I hope there’s something in there for you too.
